BournsThermal Cutoff Device - 55°C (±5) trip temp - self-hold - AEC-Q200 compliant - Automotive grade ...
DESCRIPTION
The AD55ABB is a miniature thermal cutoff (TCO) device designed for automotive-grade overtemperature and overcurrent protection. It features a trip temperature of 55°C with a minimum reset temperature of 20°C, and is capable of controlling abnormal excessive current virtually instantaneously up to rated limits. The device is rated for DC14 V / 8 A continuous operation with 10,000 cycles, and can handle breaking currents of DC14 V / 35 A for 100 cycles, with a maximum voltage rating of DC28 V / 8 A for 100 cycles. Key electrical characteristics include a minimum holding voltage of 8 V at 25°C for 1 minute, maximum leak current of 300 mA at 25°C, and contact resistance of 4 milliohms maximum. The AD55ABB operates over an application temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, features high corrosion resistance, is AEC-Q200 compliant, RoHS compliant, and halogen-free, making it ideal for automotive electrical circuit protection in engine compartments and other harsh environments.
