DESCRIPTION

The 5900-222-RC is a high-current choke from Bourns' 5900 Series, designed for EMI filtering and power supply applications requiring high inductance values. It features a ferrite bobbin core with 2200 µH inductance at 1 kHz (±10%), a maximum DC resistance of 1.70 O, and a self-resonant frequency of 0.55 MHz. The device is rated for a saturation current of 0.56 A and a continuous rated current of 0.50 A, with VW-1 rated shrink tubing covering the winding for safety. Operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C with dielectric strength of 2500 Vrms, this choke is ideal for high-inductance filtering in power conversion circuits, audio equipment, and industrial power supplies where space and performance are critical.
