DESCRIPTION

The 01002-8124 is a 2.5" solid shaft incremental encoder from the H25 family, designed for industrial automation and hazardous location environments. It features ruggedized construction with EMI shielding, high-precision ball bearings, and matched thermal coefficients on critical components to ensure reliable long-term operation. The encoder provides NPN open collector outputs with internal 2.7K ohm pull-up resistors, offering excellent noise immunity and faster switching times in electrically noisy environments. It meets IP65 protection standards, with IP66 capability when ordered with shaft seal or cable gland, and supports operating temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. The H25 is available with multiple resolution options (1 to 2500 ppr standard and custom ranges), various connector types (M18, M16, M12, or cable termination), and certifications for intrinsically safe or non-incendive hazardous area applications, making it suitable for machine control, automation systems, and safety-critical industrial applications.
