The 01002-7499 is a 2.5-inch solid shaft incremental encoder from BEI Sensors, engineered for demanding industrial applications in both ordinary and hazardous locations. It features line driver output electronics that provide superior noise immunity and faster switching times compared to open collector outputs, with lower source and sink impedance for robust signal transmission. The encoder meets IP65 protection standards and can achieve IP66 sealing when ordered with a shaft seal, operates across a wide temperature range with storage capability from -40°C to +100°C, and withstands shocks up to 1000 m/s² and vibrations up to 300 m/s² per EN 60068 standards. The unit incorporates EMI shielding, high-precision ball bearings, and matched thermal coefficients on critical components, with 1000V isolation and compliance with EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4 EMC standards.
