DESCRIPTION

The PTH05050WAZ is a non-isolated DC-DC converter from Artesyn that complies with the Point-of-Load Alliance (POLA) standard and is designed for advanced power distribution in complex semiconductor devices such as DSPs, FPGAs, and ASICs. It features an input voltage range of 4.5 to 5.5 Vdc with an adjustable output voltage from 0.8 to 3.6 Vdc, delivering up to 6 amps at a maximum efficiency of 95%. The converter includes advanced POL functions such as Auto-Track™ sequencing for controlled power-up/power-down, pre-bias startup capability, input undervoltage lockout, remote sense, remote On/Off control, and auto-resetting short-circuit protection. With a compact footprint of 22.10 x 12.57 x 8.50 mm and a weight of only 2.9 g, it is available in both through-hole and surface-mount versions, making it ideal for space-constrained applications in semiconductor equipment, industrial, telecommunications, and data center computing environments.
