DESCRIPTION
The ASA02A24-LS is a 10-watt isolated DC-DC converter from the ASA series, designed for applications requiring a nominal 24 V supply with a wide 2:1 input voltage range of 18–36 VDC and a single 5.0 V output at 2 A. The converter features a compact 1.25 × 0.8 inch (31.7 × 20.3 mm) metal case with a height of 0.4 inch (10.2 mm), providing 1500 VDC input-to-output isolation and fully encapsulated construction for ruggedized environments. Key electrical characteristics include 83% efficiency at 12 V output, ±2.0% voltage tolerance, ±0.8% line regulation, ±1.2% load regulation, and 100 mV output noise/ripple, with a switching frequency of 350 kHz and auto-restart short-circuit protection. Operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +60°C with no derating and achieving 1 Mhrs demonstrated MTBF, this converter is ideal for harsh industrial, telecommunications, and embedded system applications where reliability and compact form factor are critical.
