DESCRIPTION

15324197 is an APEX® 2.8 female connector terminal designed for low-voltage automotive electrical systems. It features a two-piece construction with an integrated floating spring made of beryllium copper or copper nickel silicon, utilizing a tangless/lanceless locking mechanism within the APEX® cavity. The terminal accommodates wire sizes from 22 to 16 AWG (0.35 to 1.5 mm²) and is available in both unsealed and cable-sealed configurations with tin (Sn) or gold (Au) plating options. With a maximum operating temperature of 150°C, maximum vibration rating of 30 G, and maximum current capacity of 18 A, this terminal delivers heavy-duty performance and the highest current rating in its class. The contact resistance is less than 0.5 mO, with contact mating force below 5 N and unmating force below 1 N, making it ideal for reliable connections in automotive wiring harnesses and electrical distribution systems.
