DESCRIPTION
The 12162215 is an APEX® 150 sealed connector designed for low-voltage automotive applications requiring robust electrical connections. It features a two-piece terminal construction with tangless/lanceless locking mechanism and APEX® cavity design, supporting blade sizes of 1.5 mm with wire gauge ranges from 22–16 AWG (0.35–1.5 mm²). The connector offers multiple sealing options including unsealed, mat sealed, and cable sealed configurations, with plating choices of tin (Sn) or gold (Au). Operating across a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C with vibration resistance up to 20 G, the connector delivers a maximum current rating of 18 A and achieves contact resistance below 0.5 mO. The integrated floating spring made of beryllium copper or copper nickel silicon provides heavy-duty performance and the highest current rating in its class, making it ideal for sealed inline and device applications in automotive electrical systems.
