DESCRIPTION

The 992G7-BK is an SB50 connector with an orange mechanical key, designed for DC power distribution and battery connections following Anderson's design standard established in 1953. It features a one-piece plastic housing with stainless steel springs holding low-resistance silver or tin-plated copper contacts, supporting wire sizes from #16 (1.5 mm²) to #6 (13.3 mm²). The connector is UL-rated for continuous currents up to 120 amps in wire-to-wire configurations and supports hot plugging up to 50 amps, making it suitable for applications requiring circuit interruption capability. The genderless design allows self-mating, and the connector accommodates wire, PCB, and busbar contacts within a single connection system, providing versatility for battery systems, power distribution panels, and other high-current DC applications.
