DESCRIPTION

The M85049/88-21W02 is a straight, self-locking band lock adapter backshell designed for use with MIL-DTL-38999 Series III & IV, Connector Group L connectors. It is constructed from aluminum alloy with an Ultem composite component and features a cadmium olive drab finish for corrosion resistance. This adapter corresponds to accessory shell size 21 and connector shell size 21/G, accommodating a maximum cable entry diameter (B Ø) of 0.688 inches. The design facilitates shield termination using a tempered band, ensuring low DC resistance and reliable EMI/RFI shielding, making it ideal for providing strain relief in harsh and demanding military and aerospace environments.
