DESCRIPTION

The 85663-103LF is a Metral® right-angle header and vertical receptacle backplane connector designed for Futurebus+ applications in backplane, coplanar, and mezzanine configurations. It features a high contact density of 250 contacts per 100 mm connector length with a 2 mm contact pitch, available in 4-row and 5-row versions with modular scalability of 1, 2, 4, and 8 modules. The connector supports multiple termination options including press-fit, solder-to-board, and pin-in-paste, with dual beam contact design for receptacles and varying pin lengths enabling first-mate, last-break capability. Electrical specifications include a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 Vrms, insulation resistance of 5000 MO minimum, and a current rating of 1A with all contacts powered, operating reliably over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The connector meets IEC 61076-4-104 and Telcordia GR-1217-CORE standards, making it ideal for data, industrial, instrumentation, medical, and telecom applications requiring high signal density and electrical reliability.
