DESCRIPTION

MUSBA51101 is a rugged USB Series A vertical PCB-mount connector designed for demanding industrial, military, and aerospace applications. It features a vertical termination style with solder tails suitable for PCB thickness of 1.52 mm (0.062"), and is constructed with phosphor bronze contacts plated with 30 µm minimum gold over 50 µm minimum nickel, housed in UL94V-0 rated engineering thermoplastic with a die-cast zinc alloy shell. The connector supports 1.5 A per contact with a maximum contact resistance of 30 mO, insulation resistance of 1000 MO minimum, and dielectric withstand voltage of 500 V AC at sea level. It meets military shock and vibration levels, IP67 protection in mated and unmated conditions, and is rated for 1500 mating cycles with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. This connector is ideal for networking, telecom, server and computer systems, storage devices, professional audio equipment, and military/aerospace platforms requiring reliable USB connectivity in harsh environments.
