DESCRIPTION

The KU440N is a 40-ampere, 3-pole motor disconnect switch designed for industrial motor control applications at 600V AC maximum voltage. It features a general purpose current rating of 40A and a motor full-load amperage (FLA) of 28A at 480V AC and 18A at 600V AC, providing reliable disconnection for motors up to 15 HP at 440-480V AC (3-phase). The switch is available with both extended and direct handle configurations, supporting various mounting options including door interlock mechanisms and DIN rail mounting. It is certified to UL and CE standards (E185115) and offers a short circuit withstand rating of 50kA at 600V with appropriate fuse protection, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments requiring safe motor isolation and control.
