M83723/87R22558 is a straight plug connector with threaded coupling designed to MIL-DTL-83723 Series III specifications, featuring pin contacts and a self-locking clutch plate mechanism. The connector offers threaded coupling that provides greater resistance to decoupling with a visual full mating indicator band on the shell, and is available in shell sizes 8 through 28. It features a five-key/keyway design that eliminates mismating, aluminum shells with black anodized, cadmium, or electroless nickel finish options, and is intermateable with most MIL-DTL-26500 threaded coupling connectors. The design includes rear-release type plastic tools for insertion and removal of contacts from the rear, tear-resistant elastomer grommets, and a closed entry socket side with lead-in chamfer.
