DESCRIPTION

APAM1866YA18 is a GPS active internal patch antenna with an integrated low noise amplifier designed for GPS signal reception. The antenna operates at a center frequency of 1575.42 ± 1.023 MHz with a minimum bandwidth of 8 MHz and features right hand circular polarization (RHCP) with a typical gain of 2.5 dBic. The integrated LNA provides 24-30 dB gain with a noise figure of 2.0 dB maximum, operating from 2.70V to 3.30V DC with typical current consumption of 13 mA. The compact 18.0 x 18.0 x 7.0 mm form factor uses dielectric ceramics construction with FR4 PCB and tinplate shielding, and includes an I-PEX RF connector with 1.13 mm diameter cable. This RoHS compliant antenna is suitable for automotive navigation, personal tracking, surveying equipment, healthcare monitoring devices, and portable navigation applications.
