DESCRIPTION

The 98-1100-0606-5 is a 3M Multi-Touch Controller (PX5000) designed for projected capacitive (PCAP) multi-touch systems in commercial display applications ranging from 18.5" to 24" diagonals. This controller supports up to 20 simultaneous touch inputs with palm rejection, finger and thin glove input methods, and delivers >99% accuracy with 32K x 32K resolution and inherently linear response requiring only video alignment. The controller communicates via USB HID Digitizer with a maximum operating current of <133 mA, powered directly from USB Vbus, and achieves a touch refresh rate greater than 100 Hz (<10 ms response time). Operating across -10°C to +70°C with storage capability from -40°C to +70°C, the system features NEMA 4X/IP66 sealing for water resistance, a compact 2.0 mm total thickness, and solderless tail connection design. This controller is ideal for rugged industrial environments, retail interactive displays, and public exhibits requiring reliable multi-touch functionality without bulky bezels.
