DESCRIPTION

EPS-400.700-48 is a medium-wall, semi-rigid heat shrink tubing with a 4:1 shrink ratio and integral adhesive-lined construction designed for environmental protection of electronic components, wire splices, and harness breakouts. The tubing is manufactured from flame-retardant, flexible polyolefin with an internal layer of special thermoplastic adhesive that maintains high flow and excellent adhesion characteristics. When heated above 121°C (250°F), the tubing rapidly shrinks to a skintight fit, forcing the melted adhesive to flow and cover the substrate, and upon cooling solidifies into a permanent, non-drying, flexible, and water-resistant barrier. The product exhibits excellent chemical resistance with non-corrosive properties, fungus resistance, and superior fluid resistance, making it ideal for automotive, truck, marine, and industrial applications requiring protection from harsh environments. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to 110°C and meets UL and CSA regulatory requirements for electrical safety at 600 volts and 125°C maximum.
